How I Use Activated Charcoal + Which Planner I Want In 2017.

The air was so darn clean this morning - honestly, I love being outside as my day begins and by starting it on my terms, my morning rituals fall into place...and then I find the whole day, and week move with more ease.  A good start is such a blessing, compared with that doom and gloom feeling of chasing the rabbit from minutes after you wake.

Did you know my kitchen and business are thermie free? Here's why...

I am a bit of a minimalist, well, a lot of a minimalist. I am a considered consumer who tries her best not to hoard and accumulate items unnecessarily...I am a champion of 'doing the best with what I've got' (which is a blessing and a curse) I am a crusader for the awesomeness that is a 'decluttered life'. Interestingly that is not why I don't own a thermie, and why I don't depend on them in my workshops, my online course, any commercial kitchen I have been in.

Seasonal Greens with Herby Coconut Broth

I am a lover of coconut-based broths.  Herbs and a bunch of seasonal greens that are braised gently in coconut milk and finished with some coconut aminos and lemon really work.  It is perfect with some poached chicken (poach the chicken in it!) or some smoked tofu, but at the moment I love it for the afternoon snack.  So grounding and deeply nourishing.

The 3 subtle shifts I needed to accidentally commit to these 8 HABITS with wonderful results

I could be mistaken to think they are accidental in my life cause I have ben adamant that 'I don't do "all of these things" "all the time" for very long' and 'I am not into commitment or routine' ...but that isn't the truth.  I had set an intention of letting go of the ick I felt around routine. I wanted to shift, I wanted to add more gentle things, including discipline - I just didn't want another PLAN or CHECKLIST to get there.

This ONE recipe will help 3:30itis: Chocolate Fudge

So you have seen how I can make breakfasts breezy, lunch is a cinch and smoothies - well, let’s be honest, I am stoked to have one for morning tea but when I look at the clock at somewhere between 3:05pm and 3:54 a green smoothie is the furtherest thing from my mind - this may potentially be because I am in that flux state of too late for coffee / too early for wine.

(Re)treat yourself with this Buddha Bowl Bar Spread!

Last weekend my favourite (only?) place that I have run the self-care one day retreats certainly didn't disappoint! From yoga, to mindfulness, dessert demonstrations and learning how to just 'be' when you don't have kids to run after - what silence sounds like in consecutive minutes...heck, what your sentences even sound like with you don't have to interject with a reprimand or simple 'yes, darling?'.  Anyway, here is the menu from the weekend - ball park - I love that I can just create to my heart's content so there were no recipes, just a stack of love.

Making Breakfast Breezy: Crunchy Breakfast Sprinkles

So this is perfect to add on top of chia puddings, or even banana nice-cream.  Sometimes we have so much blended, soupy and gloopy stuff that we need to remember that the crunch is so important.  We humans crave all the textures so this is a great one to have on hand so you can sprinkle away.
