Green smoothies....probably one of the most 'on-trend' & talked about parts of wellness & health....would you agree?!  

This green smoothie is the perfect insurance policy for a busy day - whether you can't sneak your greens in any where else, or even squeeze in another meal, I find that this smoothie just fills in the gaps beautifully.  

This green smoothie is my go-to nutrient-packed snack, that's easy to prepare, tastes amazing & makes you feel pretty great too!

Let's be honest...some days we find ourselves run off our feet. Ensuring we are nourishing our bodies with vital nutrients just doesn't happen, sometimes.

Adding one of these smoothies as our mid-morning snack is great! Get in all those greens before your day gets too hectic!

The 'Insurance Police' Green Smoothie Recipe

Makes 1 serve

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 lebanese cucumber
  • 1/4-1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1 handful baby spinach
  • 1 kale leaf, stem removed

Blend together and drink it up!  I make this in advance and store in 300ml mason jars in the fridge for up to 4 days. Be sure that you store it in a container that is not much larger than the volume - keeping the air out makes it last longer!

PSST.  Try this smoothie as it is first, if you need to add sweetness then try 1/2 a pear or banana or some berries.  It is easier to add sweetness in rather than take it out, so experiment until you find your 'happy spot'.
