If you saw this post about making sure you get enough fibre, you will be so so so pleased to hear that this is a cake very rich in fibre, magnesium and good fats - without packing a tonne of dried fruit! It is as rich as it is beautiful. Put down your psyllium husks, and eat this instead (joking, not joking).
Fibre is so fabulous but the imagery associated with it is often drab, brown and boring. I want to change that. Why? 'Cause fibre has slipped away and somewhat accidentally swapped out. It has been something we have been happy to cut out and add back in with supplements #hellobenefibre #hellopsylliumhusks.
When I was in Bali, about to return to Mackay to cook and teach at some workshop help at my old high school I coined a phrase. “Demystify the junk and keep it deliciously real”. …and it is something that I still come back to because, let’s be honest, so much of the jargon and on-trend stuff that media promotes is to fill pages. Oh this was far more uplifting than either of us were expecting! Have a listen to our natter last week, and then make sure you secure a ticket for our upcoming event stat. It is going to delicious, grounding and absolutely beautiful!
I asked a girlfriend to give me 200 words in response to the words 'Latte Level Spirituality. She did in 261 words, and this is what she wrote.
I was lucky enough to find a pomegranate on the weekend, so after I was finished splattering all over my cream tiled floor, I was stoked that there were some left over to add a juicy punch to the butternut pumpkin, beet and leek.
Autumn is quickly becoming winter, but with all the rhubarb, fennel, pears and leeks around the place I can't help but still be inspired by the produce! Yum! I originally had a dressing in mind for this combination but when you use awesome produce, prepared with love, it can be overkill.
